Renting property is quite straight forward. Problem

We received a call in confidence from a stressed landlord who felt she had no alternative but to evict her tenant due to a breakdown in communication through frustration and rent arrears in month five of a six month contract. However, the tenant felt there were unresolved issues with repairs and that they had been treated unfairly.

Solution

After a meeting with the tenant at their home, we were able to fully understand the tenants point of view, as well as the landlords. The tenant was eligible for financial help but even in month five was unable to understand how to obtain this help. We were able to put two income streams in place, to enable her to honour her rent commitments. We were able to resolve repair issues and re-establish a relationship between the landlord, tenant and agent. We were able to achieve all this in just one week.

Conclusion

The LANDLORD is now happy - she has a decent tenant who is up to date with the rent and is looking after the property and would like her to stay.

The TENANT is very happy and relieved - she has had help in sorting out her finances as she always wanted to pay her rent and is not going to be homeless with her children.
